Demon Sword[edit]
This sword can be found from the Arena of Ages in the DS version. If your monster is training in the Antiquity age (ice age), and you're lucky, they'll pick up a Demon Slayer, which can be wielded by Frog. Not only is does this sword deal more damage than Frog's Masamune, but it deals 2.0X damage to magical creatures. Chrono's Zanmo sword only deals a mere 1.5X damage to magical creatures.

Unlimited Megalixers[edit]
In Giant's Claw, there is a room with three floor switches and a dinosaur skeleton that you can open. Pressing the bottom right switch will cause 2 Fossil Apes to fall to the ground. Charm both of them for Megalixers, defeat them, walk out of the room, and walk back in. The floor switches will be reset, allowing you to 'summon' the Fossil Apes again.Note: The top switch will cause a Save Point to appear - bringing along a bunch of Shelters or using the Megalixers you Charm allows you to do this indefinitely without having to leave to heal up, as well as save and come back later. Also, if you happen to get a Lapis from the Fossil Ape, Charm it again and you will get the Megalixer.

Unlimited Strength Capsules[edit]
On the Black Omen there is a creature called a Blubber Hulk (it looks like a small twister). Use Ayla's Charm ability on it to get a Strength Capsule, then run away. Exit the room and reenter to repeat for additional Capsules.

Retain Money in New Game +[edit]
Before facing Lavos at the end of the game, follow these steps to convert your money into items that, unlike money itself, will carry over into a New Game +:
- Buy, Buy, Buy. Snatch up everything you can from the merchants, until you're flat broke (after all, you can't take your money with you.)
- Visit the trader in the Prehistoric Era and trade for as many of his items as you can get (it'll be a while before you can later)
Sell your unwanted items for cash in the New Game +.

EDIT - After more searching I found a post claiming that if it did not work after the hex editing then changing folder view options to un-hide known extensions would fix the issue.

Unlimited Shelters[edit]
Here's a great way to collect as many Shelters as you can possibly hold in your inventory. After you head through Truce Canyon the first time, travel back to Guardia Forest. Once inside, take the first right and bear onto the upper path. While in the small clearing, you'll notice a bush in the upper left part of the screen. Move next to the bush and it will begin to shake. Press the A button and a monster will pop out, leaving a Shelter in his wake as he runs away. Grab the Shelter, and then exit the forest and reenter. Do this as many times as you want.
Could not remove Interbase, Service stopped and disabled. --> OK, then I tried to modify XE3 install to remove Interbase, which did not work too, after about 3 hours (hey, but all files was already downloaded.) the setup shows a message 'An error occurred and the install process could not be finished.' When I tried to remove, I got the message: --------------------------- Wise Uninstall --------------------------- Could not open INSTALL.LOG file.
